Sally Braham – Owner and Account Director
Sally started her career in public relations with Grey Impact, part of the Grey Group of Advertising in 1982. Until June 1987, Sally was a junior partner and director of Rudram Stewart and Associates and Rudram & Associates respectively, where she worked in public relations for seven years – initially as an account executive, then account manager and junior partner, before becoming a director. In July 1989, she formed her own public relations consultancy.
During the course of 1993/94, Sally consulted to TSPR on several accounts including Denel Informatics, Werksmans Attorneys, SRK Consulting, the IOD, Unilever (launch of Ola Ice Cream in SA) and McCann-Erickson Advertising. Other past clients include: The Damelin Education Group, ADvTECH, Furniture City, Justine, Southern Sun Hotels (including the SA Formula 1 Grand Prix), Southern Sun Timesharing, UTICO Holdings and Willards Foods.
Kurt Ferreira – Senior Account Manager
Kurt is an optimistic and accomplished PR professional. Having worked with numerous clients – from small to large, local and global – he has been instrumental in creating effective communications strategies, their execution and measurement. By driving intense press interest and coverage, he’s helped shape public perception of some of South Africa’s most reputable B2B brands. Kurt’s reputation in the industry, he believes , is owing to him asking relevant questions like: what are we saying, why are we saying it, to whom will it matter and how will we say it?
Kurt has growing interest in Strategic Brand Management and believes his, combined with his studies in Communication Science, his leadership capability and positive attitude will be the key to making his mark in the industry.
Rachel Mekgwe – Account Executive
Rachel Mekgwe is an Account Executive with SBPR Communications. In this role Rachel assists the Account Director and Accounts Manager providing assistance with all media and public relations activities. She joined SBPR Communications in September 2017.
Rachel is a qualified Public Relations professional and holds a National Diploma in Public Relations Management from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Before joining SBPR Communications she worked for Fundi Communications and Advertising in 2013, spent four years as a Public Relations Assistant working on various accounts. In 2011/12 she was a Marketing Intern at Sci-Bono Discovery Centre an NGO in Newtown, Johannesburg.
